Overview

Dates: April 15 – 18, 2024

Venue: Friday Conference Center at UNC

The annual Insight Net meeting is intended to bring together the network’s centers to highlight their work, facilitate discussion, and create connections across centers, as well as with key external partners.

Sessions open to all attendees will begin the evening of April 15th and conclude mid-day of April 18th. A PI and External Guidance Group meeting will be held during the afternoon of April 18th.

Insight Net members at all career stages and partners are invited to attend. Due to capacity limits, each center can bring up to 10 members, who are supported by your center’s funding, in addition to a limited number of individuals sponsored by the Coordinating Center. (More information on travel sponsorship is below.) Registration has closed. If you are interested in attending virtually, please contact Erica Carcelen (ecarcel1@jhu.edu) for the calendar event.

Travel Sponsorship

Limited funding is available to sponsor travel for a group of attendees. We are asking each center to nominate individuals to receive travel sponsorship. Sponsorship will be granted to the top 2 nominees of the center’s choice, and each center should nominate no more than 10 individuals.

Nominees for travel sponsorship should be individuals who do not have funding to attend the meeting and would have a strong contribution to or benefit from attending the meeting in person. Priority will be given to affiliated groups, particularly public health agencies and STLTs who are not directly supported by CFA funding. Depending on remaining funding available, we will aim to support junior investigators. We aim to accept individuals with a focus on having diverse representation of background, research area, geography, gender, and experience.

If you would like to nominate an individual, please coordinate with the point of contact for your center to submit your center’s nomination form. Each center should submit one form with the nominees for their group.
