What or who is Insight Net?
Insight Net is a national network focused on building and maintaining capacity in infectious disease outbreak modeling and analytics composed of partners from academic, private, and public health institutions. It works to improve our collective ability to understand, predict, prepare for, and respond to infectious disease outbreaks. It serves public health departments across the country by building capacity for disease outbreak modeling and analytics by providing advanced analytical tools and data analysis capabilities, enabling them to better anticipate and respond to infectious disease outbreaks.

Insight Net is made up of 13 centers and their numerous academic, private, and public health partners spanning 30 states, 2 territories, and 1 tribal nation. There are over 110 partnered organizations.

Insight Net is primarily funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) through its Center for Forecasting and Outbreak Analytics (CFA).
