Agent-Based Network Respiratory Virus Model

Agent-based network model of respiratory virus transmission, disease progression, and intervention. The model is modular and has been applied to counties, university campuses, and K-12 schools. For the general population (county) model three types of interactions are simulated: household interactions, social interactions, community interactions. The university model simulates residential interactions, classroom interactions, and community interactions. The K-12 model includes classroom, bus, and community interactions. The model incorporates asymmetric mixing by race/ethnicity and age. Interventions incorporated include: vaccination, masking, exposure notification, case isolation, contact tracing, asymptomatic and symptomatic testing. The campus model incorporates wastewater monitoring and responsive testing. The K-12 model incorporates varying school schedules (such as block, alternating days, etc.) The model can be used for both short term forecasting and long term scenario analyses. The model is currently in a private Git repository, but can be easily made public.
