Midwest Analytics and Disease Modeling Center

The Midwest Analytics and Disease Modeling Center (MADMC) improves preparedness for public health emergencies using the expertise of partners from the University of Minnesota, the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), and the Minnesota Electronic Health Records Consortium (MNEHRC). They aim to enhance modeling and analytic capabilities, ensuring better data accessibility and analysis for informed decision-making during future health crises. They have engaged in a variety of projects, including modeling RSV policy interventions, identifying influenza hotspots, building a measles outbreak response tool, rapidly responding to recent a parvovirus B19 outbreak, investigating tuberculosis healthcare use, and modeling congenital syphilis elimination in Minnesota.
